Registering your XFoil: 

We have had a few contributors contact us requesting for assistance with getting their XFoil registered with their state. We now have the necessary documentation required to register your XFoil. If where you are riding XFoil requires vessel registration, please get in contact with our support team for assistance once you have your XFoil board as we need to personalize each document for each board and contributor.  

Next Container of XFoil Boards: 

We’re excited to announce that the next container of boards will be arriving any moment. The port is waiting for a terminal to become available so our container can dock with a freight truck and transport to our facility in Fremont. There will be roughly 180 boards in this container.  

We want to reiterate that XFoil carbon fiber boards are handmade. And the main components and boards are assembled by hand at our facilities in California. Our team is working hard ensuring that the quality of XFoil meets our high standard.

Main components ship before XFoil boards. If you’ve received your shipment of main components but have not received the board, your XFoil board will be shipped to you next. The main components consist of the motor, mast, wing, tail, fuselage and assembly hardware. 

Fulfillment Timeline Estimations: 

Backers 1 to 150. (DONE)

Backers 151 to 330, Shipping starts in about 2 weeks. (March-May) 

Backers 330 to 500, we estimate to be shipped during Quarter 3 of 2024. 

Backers 501 +, by end of quarter 2 of 2024 we estimate to have the remaining fulfillment timeline outlined. 

We are fulfilling in chronological order based on your contribution number, your survey completion date, and when you paid for shipping. If you have not completed these steps, we advise that you do so immediately to keep your place in our fulfillment pipeline. Some backers with low contribution numbers might not have been shipped to because your spot in the queue is further down the line than your contribution number due to incomplete surveys or balances owed.

You can find your contribution number by logging into your indiegogo account and viewing your contribution information. 

Battery Shipments:

In order to make space for our next container shipment that is arriving any day, and to have more room for assembly,  we need to ship out all Xfoil batteries to backers. These ship separately from Xfoil board and main component shipments, so they can go out now. 

All backers have been sent a message to the email address you used for placing your contribution from our support team email ([email protected]). You MUST respond back to the email confirming that all is correct and you are able to receive the shipment. Lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods so we MUST HAVE your consent and reply before we can ship the batteries to you. If you are planning on picking up in person, we need you to schedule a date and time for you to come in and pick up your battery. We are no longer able to hold batteries. 

If we do not hear back from you, there will be a $100/month storage fee for the batteries as they are taking up our warehouse space. The batteries will be deemed abandoned if we do not hear back from you within 1 month.

Board Storage Tip:

When storing your XFoil we recommend that you do NOT fully close the lid down. Leave the lid propped up slightly as shown so that the seals do not compress. Only close the lid down fully when riding your board to maximize the life of your seals. 

Pin Protection Sleeve:

In our continuing efforts to improve the user experience of XFoil we have created a new part that will be included in all shipments of XFoil from this day forward. The new "Pin Protection Sleeve" (indicated in red below) is used to protect the gold pins on the masts and motor during transportation and used to keep them aligned during storage. 

If you have already received your masts and motor and would like to get the "Pin Protection Sleeve" we will be happy to provide you these items FREE OF CHARGE, *just pay a small postage fee. Please message us to get your Pin Protection Sleeve. 

Remotes Not Fully Charging (Fix):

Some customers are reporting that their remotes are not charging or are not charging to full. We have published a video how to perform a quick fix.

Dear Contributors, 

We want to wish all our backers a Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a nice holiday season. 

We appreciate everyone’s support through this journey with XFoil. We’re excited for what has taken place, and what will be taking place for this new year. We were a little shy on our outgoing shipments in December as some of our staff were out sick. Here is an updated shipment schedule. 

There are roughly 30 boards left in the first container. These 30 boards are scheduled to be shipped out by January 31, 2023. This this will complete backers 1-150. 

• Backers 151 - 300 will be next, and the estimation is they will be fulfilled during Quarter 1 of 2024. 
• Backers 301 - 450, we are currently estimating that they will be fulfilled during Quarter 2 of 2024. 
• Backers 451+, we plan on having an estimated fulfillment timeline established during Quarter 2 of 2024 as it will allow us to gauge manufacturing, assembly, testing, kitting, and all logistical aspects based on our fulfillment progress and ongoing manufacturing optimizations. 

We will be making up for lost ground on board shipments this month with a big push now that everyone is back from holiday.
